We have an exciting opportunity to join our Benefits team in a permanent role as a Benefit officer. You will be a key member of the team, providing support to the team leader to deliver the operational tasks for Housing Benefit, Council tax reduction, Discretionary Housing Payments and the Scottish Welfare Fund. You will also provide guidance and support to the team members and ensure the service is delivered to a high standard.
We need someone who has in depth knowledge of current Housing benefit legislation and Council Tax reduction regulations and up to date knowledge of National guidance and local policy around discretionary Housing payments
Experience of staff and team supervision would be an advantage.
Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
