About the role
Our client is now looking for an Environmental Sustainability Trainer to join their team.
The role will cover the United Kingdom, predominantly using the company’s office and site locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver the Companies ESA (Environmental Site Awareness) training programme across the UK, with the potential to deliver additional carbon-based modules and other environmental sustainability courses in the future. Course delivery will predominantly be in a face-to-face classroom environment.
2. Actively contribute to the development and update of the companies’ environmental sustainability training courses.
3. Join a team of professional trainers to deliver the ESA training programme integrated with company requirements.
4. Support the full range of Sustainability training activities within the UK, ultimately enabling the delivery of the company's Sustainability strategy.
5. Develop and update training course material, including liaising with internal subject matter experts to develop new course content.
The role will provide UK coverage, a company car will be provided, and any expenses covered for overnight stays (if/when required).
The Individual
They are looking for an Environmental Sustainability Professional with a minimum of 5 years verifiable construction industry experience in the field who holds a formal training qualification, equivalent to a Level 3 Award in education and training (AET).
Minimum Requirements:
1. A relevant degree or equivalent in an environmental discipline.
2. Thorough working knowledge of current environmental legislation across England, Wales, and Scotland.
3. 5 years’ experience in a site-based environmental role within the construction industry.
4. Strong working knowledge of the construction sector.
5. Level 3 Award in education and training (AET) (or equivalent).
6. Valid driving licence.
7. Proficient in MS Office Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Desirable Qualities/Experience:
1. Appropriate IEMA or equivalent professional accreditation.
2. Working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems.
