What you'll do:
* Conduct financial assessments via telephone, online, or in-person visits, tailoring your communication style to meet the diverse needs of clients.
* Accurately calculate clients' contributions towards the cost of care services provided by Hampshire County Council and explain complex calculations with compassion, care, and diplomacy.
* Identify and support clients with potential welfare benefits claims.
* Remain calm and professional when faced with emotional responses during challenging conversations.
* Work flexibly across a wide geographical area, making best use of homeworking and council hubs.
What we're looking for:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong empathy and the ability to handle emotional responses with care.
* Professionalism and diplomacy in all client interactions.
* First-class numeracy skills and attention to detail.
* Confidence in working independently and using IT skills to enhance your work efficiency.
* Previous experience of accurately dealing with complex financial information and awareness of personal finance products.
