About the opportunity We currently have an opportunity within our Digital team for an Operations Team Lead. This role is dedicated to one of our major clients to ensure the smooth functioning of their IT BAU Infrastructure. You will direct the work of core members of this function (MS Developer, Support Analyst and VDI Specialist) and undertake M365 and Azure Administration tasks. You will be required to have a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills and a customer-centric approach to effectively resolve technical issues and optimize operational processes. This is initially a fixed term salaried 18 month contract Full time employment with us is based on 40 hours per week In this critical role you will be required to support the client on-site in a Hybrid capacity at their offices in Grays Grays / Thurrock, Essex SC level security clearance is required for this role which requires a criminal record check, credit check, consistent recent 5 year UK residency and other vetting Some key duties and responsibilities Guidance and Technical Expertise _ provide day-to-day guidance to support staff, acting as a technical expert across MS365 and Azure to foster a collaborative, high-performance environment User and Access Management _ manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring secure and efficient cloud operations Security and Compliance _ implement and maintain security measures and compliance standards as directed by Security to protect data and ensure regulatory compliance within Azure and cloud-based systems Service Configuration _ configure and manage Azure services and Microsoft 365 applications to meet organizational needs and objectives, maximizing the use of cloud infrastructure Implementation _ deploying innovative solutions to satisfy changing business needs based on the designs and plans provided by the Solution or Work Package Architect Monitoring and Troubleshooting _ monitor system performance, identify issues and troubleshoot problems to ensure uninterrupted service delivery within Azure and cloud environments Automation and Optimization _ develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline administrative tasks, support business continuity aims and optimize system performance, leveraging Azure and cloud technologies Individual, team and resource management experience Azure / M365 Administration (AZ-104 & MS-102 Certification) DevOps & CI / CD experience in Terraform / Bicep (AZ-400 Certification) M365 Policy / Organizational Settings experience Experience in Networking, Firewalls and Certificate services (MS Networking Fundamentals / Cisco CCNA certifications) Our culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
