Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for Advisor - Financial Planning & Analysis, CAPP Project to join our global team.
Team and Job Purpose
To improve project management (PMM) and project information management (PRIME) for program delivery across SCA and to simplify, standardise and improve the quality of Save the Children's financial data (Coding).
To provide pivotal support in financial planning and analysis by collaborating with Finance Transformation Managers and Country teams, ensuring seamless remapping of SOF budgets into the new coding model. This role is essential for integrating updates from the DRC review process into Agresso and realigning Historical Activities to align with PRIME Activities based on guidance from Country Offices. Through this work, the role contributes to the financial integrity and efficiency of Save the Children International, enabling the organisation to fulfil its commitment to accountability and excellence in resource management.

Principal Accountabilities
1. Lead the process of transferring Regional and Country office budgets to the Global Financial Data Model, ensuring that technical requirements are met and budgets are effectively remapped and loaded.
2. Collaborate closely with CAPP Awards team to oversee the DRC review process, making necessary adjustments in Agresso to reflect any updates to DRCs in AMS.
3. Lead the reallocation of Historical Activities to PRIME Activities as mapped by the Country Offices.
4. Adapt Budget vs. Actuals (BvA) reports as required to align with the Global Financial Data Model, collaborating with stakeholders to incorporate feedback and enhance utility for financial monitoring.
5. Oversee post-deployment support, resolving scope additions and technical issues promptly, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and sustaining the financial performance of Regional and Country offices.
6. Drive knowledge management initiatives by effectively transferring adapted Financial Planning and Analysis processes to Regional and Country offices, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning.
7. Engage proactively with programme stakeholders, contributing to workshops and forums, and representing the needs and interests of the Finance function to ensure the strategic objectives of the organisation are met.
Experience and Skills
Essential
1. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret financial data and make informed recommendations.
2. Considerable experience in financial planning and analysis within a multinational or international context.
3. Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and present complex information clearly.
4. Proficiency in the use of financial software and systems such as Agresso or similar platforms.
5. The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
6. Skill to think strategically to understand long-term business needs and align financial processes accordingly.
7. Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
Desirable
1. Experience in guiding and supporting regional and country offices in budget preparation, facilitating efficient and effective processes.
2. Collaborative experience with technical teams and finance transformation managers or equivalent.
3. Experience working within a transformation project.
Education and Qualifications
Essential
Bachelor's degree and professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Desirable
Training in change management or project management methodologies, such as PRINCE2 or PMP.
