E3 ward at our Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital site is looking for a full-time Ward Clerk to support the clinical and multi-disciplinary team.
This role is required to work Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job
* To ensure the availability and preparation of patient hospital notes together with the relevant documentation for all patients admitted to the service.
* To use the case note tracking system to record the location of case notes, ensuring that the tracking system is maintained.
* To liaise with medical secretaries and other hospitals to locate missing case notes and escalate to Operational/Clinical Manager if unsuccessful.
* To complete the electronic discharge documentation.
* As instructed by a nurse or doctor, to arrange for any necessary follow-up investigations for patients.
* To collate documentation and file appropriately in hospital case notes.
* To book patient transport when requested.
