Job Description Data Lead – Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning Manager Flexible working patterns considered Derby / Hybrid 3 days on-site What you will be doing: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and data focused leader to join the Digital & IT Team as a Data Lead. This position, reporting to the VP Data Science & Self-Serve, will act as the Data Workstream lead for the multiyear, business critical Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Transformation Programme. The Program is priority for both Civil and the wider Group, delivering a £500m benefit to Civil across the 5-year plan. The availability and quality of the data that supports the SIOP process, is fundamental to the success of the programme. This new role therefore presents a fantastic opportunity to make big impact by shaping and delivering the Data Strategy and Capabilities required for success. We are open to discussing flexibility based on geographical location and explore what’s possible for the role. Responsibilities: Working closely with our Rolls-Royce process and data owners, Rolls-Royce Digital & IT Team, Rolls-Royce SIOP Transformation Programme team and 3rd Party consultancy partners, the Data Lead role will be responsible for. Managing data analysts supporting SAP, MFA, SPM, other RR systems to ensure the required data availability and quality. Understanding and documenting current state data structure and availability. Managing / delivering of data cleansing, accuracy, and extraction. Supporting data validation. Supporting data transformation, quality measurement and validation. Defining and implementing standard approaches and tooling for data management. Defining the data structure in target state tools, inc. data definitions and storage. Designing the future state data structure to meet business requirements. Managing the processes to access and update Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) / Analytics related data sets. Understanding data integration requirements and supporting design of the required technical integrations Designing and supporting conceptual/logical/physical data models for data backbone integration Ensuring architecture principles, standards, guidelines, and concepts are in place and adhered to when connecting to the data backbone.
