We are hiring a Area Supervisor on behalf of our client who are specialists in the provision of heating services and multi-trade contracts across the Northeast of Scotland with a proven track record of success.
They are poised for significant growth and are seeking a strategic and experienced professional to join their team as an Area Supervisor covering Gas and Renewables.
This is a key role with exposure to leadership that will contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
Role Overview:
The Area Supervisor will oversee operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency, safety, compliance, and profitability while supporting the transition to sustainable energy solutions.
This role will be a mixture of office and field base, therefore the suitable candidate will receive the benefit of a flexible working environment. Our office is based in Keith.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
* Reporting and assisting the Contracts Manager with the day to day running of Gas and Renewable department.
* Supervise daily operations within the assigned area, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency.
* Monitoring/organising engineers workloads alongside the planning department.
* Providing technical assistance requested by engineers and the planning department.
* Assisting with engineer training/toolbox talks.
* Monitoring engineer absence and carrying out return to work interviews.
* Approving engineers holidays.
* Liaising with customers and clients via phone and email.
* Creating engineer workplans to assist planning department.
* Approving Engineer Timesheets
* Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving operational processes and team performance.
Qualifications:
* ACS Qualified
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
* Proven experience in similar role would be preferable however we are open to training/upskilling candidates who we feel would be suitable.
* Approachable
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and manage a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with team members and management.
* Ability to lead by example, demonstrating commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
* Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to operations management is advantageous.
