Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to the Conveyancing and Private Client teams.
* Draft, amend, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
* Prepare and manage client files, ensuring all information is accurate, confidential, and up-to-date.
* Handle phone calls, emails, and other client communications with professionalism and efficiency.
* Assist with diary management, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings for Partners.
* Manage the filing and organisation of legal documents and records.
* Assist in preparing for client meetings, including gathering and organising relevant documentation.
* Maintain and manage the billing and timekeeping systems, ensuring accurate recording of billable hours.
* Provide general administrative support such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing as required.
* Liaise with clients, external stakeholders, and other departments in a professional manner.
* Assist with managing deadlines, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally with experience in Conveyancing and Private Client work.
* Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and document preparation.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* High level of organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience using legal case management software is desirable.
* A keen eye for detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
* Professional and friendly demeanor with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
