Full-Time EYFS Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Pay: £140 - £180 per day (before AWR comes into effect)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) teacher to join our vibrant school community on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing high-quality, engaging, and child-centered learning experiences.
The role is based in Nelson (BB9), with a full-time commitment starting from 24th February 2025 until December 2025. The salary will be in line with the candidate’s experience.
As an EYFS teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that all children feel supported and are able to thrive. Monitoring and assessing the progress and development of your pupils will be a key aspect of your role, ensuring each child reaches their full potential. Regular communication with parents and carers will be vital, keeping them updated on their child’s progress. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Adherence to the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures will be essential to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification, and experience in teaching in an EYFS setting is essential. A genuine passion for early years education and a solid understanding of child development are crucial. Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff. You should also possess strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of all children. A nurturing, caring approach is essential, as is the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
