Our Clinical Practice Strategy for OT ensures opportunity for all staff to be included in the development of their service alongside existing B6 Role Development and Novice to Expert programmes. Additionally, we are currently undertaking an AHP integration project within the Integrated Care System (ICS) aimed at streamlining and enhancing the roles of Allied Health Professionals across urgent and community care pathways. As this initiative progresses, it has the potential to significantly reshape the structure and delivery of AHP services within WAHT. Main duties of the job The post is suited to experienced Band 5s or existing Band 6s with a varied clinical portfolio including management of a variety of conditions, cognition management, moving & handling, complex discharge planning, and awareness of the Mental Capacity Act and its implications. The Medicine OTs provide support to Respiratory, Gastro, Oncology, Cardiology and General Medical wards. Successful candidates will have opportunity to work in all areas of the service ensuring a wide and varied clinical experience. The ideal candidate will be looking to enhance and modernise their practice to support the increasing acuity and complexity of our patients and develop their own skills in assessment and management of patients with varying medical needs.
