The Shift Leader plays a vital role in supporting the Bar Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our bar and live music venue. They are responsible for leading the team during their assigned shifts, maintaining high standards of customer service, and upholding company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership:
o Supervise and guide bar staff during shifts.
o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
o Delegate tasks effectively and provide constructive feedback.
o Assist in training new staff members.
2. Customer Service:
o Ensure a welcoming and positive customer experience.
o Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
o Maintain a thorough knowledge of our drink menu and promotions.
3. Operational Duties:
o Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
o Enforce health and safety regulations.
o Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the bar area.
o Assist with opening and closing procedures.
o Work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
4. Sales and Service:
o Actively promote sales and upsell products when appropriate.
o Handle cash handling and payment processing accurately.
o Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines.
