Freelance Site Manager Opportunity – Oxfordshire
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager to join one of our clients on a freelance basis. This role is for a subcontractor working on a large-scale project in the heart of Oxfordshire, collaborating with a national main contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing day-to-day site operations and overseeing a team of tradespeople, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard.
* Completing and ensuring compliance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
* Managing and updating snagging lists, performing quality checks on completed work, and ensuring that all work meets the required specifications and safety standards.
* Coordinating site logistics, ensuring the timely delivery of materials, and managing any on-site issues that may arise.
* Maintaining clear and regular communication with the client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
* Overseeing health and safety on site and ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Valid SMSTS or SSSTS certification (Site Management or Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
* Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
* First Aid certification.
* Proven experience in managing teams of tradespeople in a similar construction environment.
* Strong administrative skills with the ability to complete required documentation accurately and on time.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
* A proactive and organised approach to site management, with strong problem-solving abilities.
