Procurement and Supply Chain - Undergraduate Placement 2025 Salary: £23,500 (pro rata) Location: Stevenage Working pattern: Typically our teams attend site 2 days a week and this is coordinated within the team, however working from site for the majority of the your week can also be catered for. Flexible working and timings can be accommodated so long as customer deliverables are achieved and objectives completed. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team. Closing date for this role is midnight on Monday 4th November The opportunity: The Industrial Policy, Global Supply Chain, & Procurement (ISP) organisation in MBDA consists of an integrated team of over 300 employees, spread across 11 sites, managing over 3000 suppliers. We have a spend profile of approximately €1.7 Billion per year across UK, France and Italy, so the need for skilled procurement and supply chain professionals is far greater than ever before, to enable our mission of 100% on time, on cost and on quality to be achieved. You will have one 10 Month placement in either Procurement OR Supply Chain: Procurement: Gain experience of contract management and different types of agreements with a wide range of monetary values. Learn and put into action negotiating and influencing skills. Complete an individual project providing you with objectives and challenges. This will be working in either our Direct or Indirect Procurement teams. Direct Procurement: Procure Mechanical or Electrical parts such as castings, machining, plastics, optics, cables, connectors and test equipment. Indirect Procurement: procure various services and items such as, facilities management, security, offload services, contingent workers, HR, travel, consulting services or information management (IM), software licences, networks and telecoms. Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with a number of departments and work closely with internal partners and suppliers. This team is responsible for the management and improvement of supplier performance through continuous risk assessment, ensuring that risks are identified, collected and effectively mitigated. Throughout the placement, you will be set projects and tasks to complete, with training and mentoring provided. Subject to placement, some travel will be required to meet with suppliers and/or our multi-national teams to increase awareness and understanding.
