Engagement and Operations Coordinator
Contract: Shared Prosperity Fund
Term: Temporary until 31st December 2024
Salary: up to £28,500 per annum
Location: Powys Area (Hybrid role)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Role Overview
The Engagement and Coordination Officer is part of the Shared Prosperity Fund Team, delivering accessible and innovative programmes of engagement and outreach activities for a diverse client group. The role promotes the development of entrepreneurial thinking and drives participants to engage with the service, enabling people to realise their entrepreneurial ambitions through a diverse range of regionally coordinated digital and face-to-face engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver pre-start upskilling and awareness building modules, and outreach events, e.g., career exhibitions, in collaboration with established young people and entrepreneurial ecosystems and stakeholders.
2. Deliver and/or facilitate wraparound support for clients, enabling a diverse portfolio of clients to overcome barriers and have an equitable experience to realise entrepreneurial ambitions.
3. Work closely with internal colleagues to progress clients through the service, as appropriate.
4. Attend marketing and engagement events, e.g. careers fairs, business exhibitions, networking events, stakeholder events, and other related activities, to promote the service and achieve client engagement KPIs.
5. Deliver prescribed workshops and participate in webinars/seminars that attract and engage clients in developing entrepreneurial thinking, self-employment, and starting a business, e.g. Start Your Own Business, promoting available business support services.
6. Undertake these activities in a professional and knowledgeable manner using the agreed training materials.
7. Identify and agree on an action plan to support allocated clients in overcoming barriers to achieving entrepreneurial goals.
8. Coordinate and provide additional support to meet client needs.
9. Facilitate a handover where clients progress and are referred on to an adviser and/or third-party stakeholders.
10. Evidence in the necessary paperwork, in compliance with contractual requirements and operational procedures.
