Senior Interior Designer Job in Bath, Somerset
A new position is available in Bath. The successful candidate will have a strong track record working on and delivering luxury residential and/or hospitality projects and will be responsible for leading and mentoring junior members of the team. Salary of £42,000 – £46,000 DOE.
Established 15 years ago, this design practice has become one of the most trusted and respected in their industry, combining interior architecture, interior design, and project management within one concept-to-completion, fully bespoke service. Thanks to their traditionally luxurious yet relaxed style, the practice is regularly featured in the House and Garden list of 100 leading interior designers.
With an ever-expanding pipeline of work, they are currently looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join their design team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work on all project stages of UK-based projects.
Role & Responsibilities
* Leading the creative direction alongside team leaders across all project stages.
* Inspiring the team and bringing new ideas to each project.
* Liaising directly with the client, communicating the design, and ensuring a smooth sign-off process.
* Recording design and specifications, helping to manage other members of the project team when needed.
* Researching and selecting appropriate materials that fit with the concept design brief and budget.
* Building supplier relationships and researching new creative and sustainable approaches.
* Liaising with external contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams regularly.
* Leading and managing junior team members.
Required Skills & Experience
* 7+ years’ experience working on luxury residential and/or hospitality projects.
* Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Comprehensive knowledge of RIBA project stages and FF&E processes.
* Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to take initiative.
* Ability to both assist and support team members.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient with AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp, MS Office, and hand sketching.
* Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
