I am recruiting for a Supported Learning Lecturer to join a college based in Huntingdon, working 29.6 hours per week on a fixed term basis until July. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of between £21,000 - £32,000, actual salary per annum equivalent to full-time salary £27,000 - £40,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
The successful applicant will be working across the department. The Lecturer will teach students with Severe Learning Difficulties, developing skills to prepare them for adulthood and enhancing their employability across all levels.
The successful candidate will need to have a positive outlook and a can-do approach, as well as being able to adapt and be flexible at short notice. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong sense of teamwork, good problem-solving skills, and be helpful and understanding towards the students and colleagues.
For this role, applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of working in SEN and/or possess a SEN qualification. Candidates must also hold a L5 Teaching Qualification or be willing to work towards this. A minimum of L2 English is required. You will be expected to complete additional training in Food Hygiene and Safety, as well as relevant training applicable to the role, including managing epilepsy and administering emergency medication.
