Job Purpose: If you want to develop your skills working with children and young people, enjoy the rural area of the Highlands and the lifestyle this has to offer, enjoy a challenge where every day can bring new opportunities and are interested in this post, we have a vacancy available for an Occupational Therapist. This post can be based primarily from Inverness covering town and rural areas, where you would work independently under the supervision of a Band 6 OT.
The Occupational Therapy Service to children and young people in Highland is provided by an integrated team of 13 staff. The team is based across the Highlands. We work in a cohesive and supportive team, and use a range of OT skills within our working practice. As we are a rural service, we deliver this through a wide range of intervention styles.
The successful applicant in this post will focus on assessment and interventions to promote independence, and the provision of equipment/adaptations. We work with children with physical, developmental, and neuro-developmental needs in a variety of settings in the community.
Actively participate in supervision and support, where appropriate providing support to Occupational Therapy students.

Requirements
1. Licence to practice as an Occupational Therapist under the Royal College Of Occupational Therapy
2. HCPC registration
3. Knowledge of policies, practices and procedures necessary for the job, including R COT professional standards and HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics
4. Recognised Occupational Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
