Reporting to the Oracle EBS Finance Team Leader you will provide user advice and guidance across multiple Financial modules as well as providing timely resolution of any incidents and problems that occur with SSE's business critical Harmony application, currently running on Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) version 12.2.9. Additionally, you will have responsibility for the design, development, system testing, UAT and roll-out, of any software enhancements and additions to these Oracle EBS modules. You will be responsible for designing and developing small scale fixes and enhancement requests and managing delivery to agreed timescales using - where appropriate - an Agile, DevOps environment, as part of a team.
Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Providing support for project and enhancement releases alongside the implementation of any regulatory and statutory requirements, security patches and software upgrades to Financials modules, as well as involvement in unit testing and support for User Acceptance and Regression testing.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of team documentation, and assisting other team members with solutions design, the fixing of faults and test activities as appropriate.
- Using your excellent customer service skills to support our existing Oracle EBS configuration, customisations and extensions; responding to support calls raised, investigating root causes for errors and effectively managing Service Requests and Bugs with Oracle, as well as tracking fault progress against internal SLAs.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Oracle EBS functional analysis, design and development skills to a proven professional level with a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving coupled with the ability to share knowledge and drive improvements and innovation within the team.
- Experience in providing end user support across multiple modules; predominantly Accounts Receivables (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), alongside a working knowledge of other financial modules, such as Order Management (OM), General Ledger (GL) etc.
- A conceptual understanding of Oracle databases and tables, of the capabilities of SQL - and desirably PL/SQL - in the Oracle EBS environment, with an ability to write SQL queries or PL/SQL packages to a level required for functional support and development.
- Experience in using Agile and waterfall delivery methods - ideally using Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos) - aligned to the full end to end delivery/design lifecycle to release development or fixes to production.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of concurrent process management, workflows and APIs alongside their uses, within Oracle EBS.
