East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Complex Care Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at EKC Folkestone College. This role offers the opportunity to support students with complex health care needs and learning support requirements as they work towards various qualifications.
As a Complex Care Learning Support Practitioner, You Will:
* Support students in Entry Level 1 to Level 2 programmes, including Functional Skills and GCSE English and Maths.
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support in a classroom, workshop, or community setting.
* Work closely with staff and other professionals to ensure students' welfare and progress.
Key Details:
* Hours per week: 35
* Weeks per year: 38
* Salary: £17,756
* Holiday payment: £2,573

About You:
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Complex Care Learning Support Practitioner to support our students with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
What We’re Looking For:
* A passion for supporting students with complex and high-level needs.
* Experience working with individuals with PMLD, including:
o Global Development Delay
o Epilepsy
o Cerebral Palsy
o Rare Diseases
o Sensory Impairments
Key Skills & Qualities:
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
* An understanding of behaviour management strategies.
* A passion for inspiring students to be active in their learning.
* The ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
* A background in special education needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential.
