An exceptional and rare opportunity has emerged to join an independent veterinary practice that is deeply rooted in the community of High Wycombe. The practice is proudly Tier 2 RCVS accredited and boasts excellent on-site facilities, including two fully equipped operating theatres, X-ray and dental facilities, an in-house laboratory, and a complete ASIF ortho kit. The newly built hospital offers further specialised resources, such as a surgery suite with a dedicated orthopaedic theatre, a high-quality dental suite, DR x-ray, advanced cardiology and ultrasound technology, endoscopy, and distinct wards for dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
As part of the team, you will join a group of experienced professionals consisting of eighteen veterinarians, ten registered veterinary nurses, and six trainee nurses at various stages of training. This practice is highly regarded locally and fosters a welcoming and supportive environment, with a proven record of mentoring and retaining new graduates.
Our client is fully committed to supporting ongoing professional development and certificates, with one vet having completed their RCVS medicine certificate, another currently finishing the ESVPS surgery certificate and pursuing a CertAVP, and three others actively working toward their certifications. The Rota:
• Full time role - 4 day week with a set day off each week and 5pm finish the day before.
• 1:8 weekends, Saturday surgery + in-patient care.
• 1:8/9 in-patient care; phones go to VetsNow at 7pm, nurse stays all night, vet only needs to check in at 9:30-10pm then can go home.
