Job Summary
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with eating disorders? We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our East Cheshire 0-18 Eating Disorders Community Team. In this role, you will provide assessment, treatment, and support to children and young people with eating disorders. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, nurses, and dieticians.
You will also have significant links with generic community CAMHS, which will allow you to provide a wider range of services to young people and their families.
We are asking that you have a core qualification, national registration and an interest in working with young people and their families with Eating Disorders. Previous experience of working with Eating Disorders is a major advantage.
Main duties of the job:
In Addition To The Above, You Will:
* Work alongside Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and other clinicians to provide a comprehensive range of treatment options.
* Have the opportunity to train in a variety of therapeutic models, including the Maudsley Family Based Treatment.

Qualifications
Essential:
* Core professional qualification (e.g: RMN, CQSW, OT)
Desirable:
* Appropriate qualification at Diploma level in a specific therapeutic modality.
* Knowledge of / expertise in other therapeutic models.
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
* Years of experience working in relevant (Eating Disorder of CAMHS) Mental Health setting.
Desirable:
* Experience in group work and family counselling.
* Experience in a mental health Outpatient setting.
* Experience of working in a specialist adolescent eating disorder setting.
Experience
Essential:
* Knowledge and expertise in the application of a specific therapeutic approach in a clinical setting.
* Working knowledge of legislation and policy relevant to a mental health setting (e.g: Mental Health Act, NSF).
* Understanding of child and adolescent development within the context of the family.
* Skills in the assessment of risk and deliberate self-harm.
Desirable:
* Specific training / knowledge in the treatment of eating disorders.
* Knowledge of legislation relevant to young people (e.g: Children Act).
* Evidence of participation in research/audit.
