An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant to join a very successful firm in the legal sector. Based at their offices on the outskirts of Swadlincote, this role offers the successful candidate a forward step in their career with a forward-thinking business on a permanent basis.
You will have the opportunity to work within a busy Commercial Property department; however, experience within this discipline is not essential.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will require the following essentials:
* Current or recent experience of working within the legal sector as a Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant / Conveyancing Assistant
* Ability to work in a busy pressured environment whilst naturally prioritising tasks
* Confidence in writing and drafting letters and copy typing
The successful candidate will have had experience within the legal sector in an administrative capacity, used to supporting fee earners in a busy practice.
Responsibilities
Within this position, you will also be:
* Handling new enquiries and creating new files including setting up client details on case management systems
* Preparing standard and non-standard correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing
* Preparing contract packs, Land Registry applications, and SDLT returns
* Administering filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files
* Liaising with clients and contacts by telephone and in writing
Salary & Working Hours
Salary is GBP24,000 - GBP28,000 per annum.
Working hours are either full time or part time within their office hours of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
