Job title: Finance Purchase Ledger Controller
Location: Vitacress Salads (St Marybourne, Andover)
Salary range: £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 5pm
Hours: 40
Contract type: Permanent.

As part of our Finance team, you will ensure the accuracy, timely accounting, and compliance of all purchase ledger transactions, as well as maximizing efficiency within the department by improving the P2P processes and procedures.
You will play a key role in managing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and according to agreed payment terms. There will also be an opportunity to own and drive improvements in the purchase ledger related workflows and procedures, ensuring these are documented and kept up to date.
Main Responsibilities:
* Implement and report purchase ledger department KPIs.
* Ensure supplier invoices and debit/credit notes are processed accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with internal policies and external requirements.
* Manage payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid accurately and according to agreed payment terms.
* Review GRNI accounts regularly to keep up to date containing only relevant balances.
* Assist with the management of working capital through efficient management of payments and providing accurate cash requirements to the Treasury Manager.
* Help answer all audit queries related to Purchase Ledger.
* Liaise with Sales Ledger Manager to clear all customer deductions via invoice posting and matching.
* Follow up and give feedback to buyers on their PO raising and approving practices.
* Take full ownership of Payment Practice Reporting.
* Functional expert for purchase ledger on any system implementation.
You will be proactive within your work and a valuable team player to ensure success within the department. Being customer-focused with attention to detail will also be a key factor within this role.
Proven experience in improving processes, procedures, and work environment as well as good general accounting & VAT knowledge would be essential. Experience of working in FMCG would be desirable.
