Actual salary £21,439 to £22,434. OGAT Grade 5, SCP 9-11.
This role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only (plus 5 days)
Outwood Academy Valley is seeking to appoint an individual who will be responsible for managing medicine and to lead on the provision of First Aid and medical assistance to students and staff at the academy. The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing health and welfare of students and staff across the academy.
Other responsibilities include producing individual healthcare plans, PEEPS, and Risk Assessments for N code children, with support from inclusion teams for children with SEND, and accompanying students to hospital and home whenever necessary, logging incidents and maintaining databases and supplies. The successful applicant must be a qualified first aider, enthusiastic and empathetic. Experience of working in a school environment is desirable.
The role will involve exchanging clear information with colleagues, requiring excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
