Job Title: Medical Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist Band: Band 6 Location : London, Greater London Working Hours: 40 hours per week Rate : Competitive, to be discussed upon application Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking a Band 6 Medical Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist with specialised expertise in Medical Rehabilitation to join our team in London. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for an ongoing period of 3 months. What will your responsibilities be? The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopaedics, Frailty and Medicine care, collaborating closely with patients to enhance their functional abilities and facilitate a smooth transition back to daily activities. The postholder will conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the functional limitations of individuals recovering from orthopaedic surgeries or injuries. Your duties will involve Implementing safe and timely discharge from hospital for patients and carrying out independent assessment. You will educate patients and their relatives/carers of post-operative regimes and help to prevent post-operative complications. You will be responsible for prescribing complex equipment such as hoists. You will be responsible for the assessment of patient progress and rehabilitation. Qualifications and Experiences: Be HCPC registered as an Occupational therapist Hold a relevant qualification in Occupational therapy Previous NHS experience within an intermediate care setting The ability to build good rapport with patients Excellent interpersonal skills How to apply?
