We are looking to recruit an experienced Business Systems Support Specialist to join our award-winning IT Team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
The ideal candidate will be based in the North West as travel to our head office in Widnes will be required at least once a week.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
The successful candidate will provide a professional, efficient, and effective support service to the business-as-usual activity of the Business Systems area and support the Business Systems Manager in progressing system upgrades and in delivering projects.
Day to Day (list not exhaustive, see attached job description)
Business Systems Support
Business Systems incidents, queries, and requests:
1. Monitor the Service Desk system & e-mail auto-notification accounts.
2. Manage in the Service Desk system, allocate to a resolver group for resolution, monitor, report & escalate as appropriate.
3. Where identified as the resolver, resolve incidents, action requests, and answer queries.
4. Review automated system alerts and apply routine housekeeping tasks, scheduled system checks & controls to identify issues and resolve in line with agreed actions & processes.
Undertake system administration tasks such as:
1. Setting up user ids for colleague starters and promotions.
2. Ceasing user ids for colleague leavers.
3. Managing user access & permissions for new and amended employment positions.
4. Setting substitutes.
5. Monitoring & clearing workflow.
6. Running system consistency checks & housekeeping routines.
7. Undertaking user access control reviews.
Business Systems Projects & Upgrades
Support the Business Systems Manager in the successful delivery of projects, system upgrades, and enhancements by, for example:
1. Providing project administrative support.
2. Undertaking systems administration tasks.
3. Providing online support to business users during roll-out and early system use.
Your values: Our ideal Candidate
Skills and Experience
1. Degree is desirable, preferably in a relevant subject such as IT or Business, or post-education qualification such as advanced apprenticeship.
2. Working in a business-focused business-systems support service.
3. Proven experience of working with, and good understanding of, business systems (such as HR or Payroll).
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
5. Experience of working with Agresso (Unit4 ERP or Unit4 Business World) web-based financial software is essential.
6. IT systems and system implementation experience is highly desirable.
