Job summary
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities team as a Business Support Officer based at St Cadoc's Hospital in Newport.
The key role is to provide secretarial/administrative support to the team and maintains records. You will deal with first line enquiries and respond/action accordingly.
You will be required to work flexibly in order to ensure the smooth running of the Service
Main duties of the job
To ensure the designated administrative workload is carried out efficiently and effectively. This will include prioritising own workload andevaluating ongoing activity to ensure targets are met.
To work flexibly and to seek advice, when necessary, but will be responsible for managing their own area of work.
To raise issues outside of designated control to Line Manager or relevant Senior Manager.
To arrange meetings, prepare papers and produce correspondence as required.
Fixed Term until 1st September 2025 to meet the needs of the service

Qualifications and/or knowledge
Essential
1. 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English Language
2. Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems, some of which are non-routine, and non-routine activities such as answering queries, progress chasing, task related problem solving, acquired through experience and training to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent demonstrable experience
3. Good general education
4. Advanced keyboard skills - Use and knowledge of IT packages and applications, including Microsoft Office

5. Knowledge of relevant organisational policies
6. RSA 3 or equivalent typing skill
7. ECDL core modules or equivalent, or willing to work towards
