About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging French lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their language acquisition. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including authentic materials, cultural immersion activities, and language technology, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of French language and culture. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and linguistic methodologies. Contribute to the development of the French curriculum and resources, integrating current linguistic research and cultural trends. Foster a love of French language and culture in students, encouraging them to develop their communication, analytical, and intercultural skills, and to appreciate the diversity of French-speaking communities. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider language and cultural life of the school. Organize and lead language exchanges, cultural trips, and language-related activities, promoting immersive learning and cultural exchange. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in French, including linguistics, literature, and culture. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and linguistic skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. A passion for French language and culture and a commitment to fostering global citizenship. Ability to organize and lead language exchanges and cultural trips.
