WorkwithYorkshire are working with a local law client, who have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join their team based in Selby. This is a permanent, full time role, working Monday Friday in the office. This role will be working in the Residential Property department, but you will also help cover work for other legal teams. Parking is available. Competitive rate of pay is available. Duties: Preparing correspondence and documents, through audio and copy typing. Administering the filing in correct date order, and on a timely basis. Preparing the mail and enclosures for despatch, ensuring that all mail to be posted is given to the Legal Adviser, with all relevant enclosures. Making appointments, arranging meetings, booking meeting rooms and maintaining an up-to-date diary for the Legal Adviser. Attending clients, both in person and on the telephone. To provide assistance in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firms standards for client care. Being responsible for the opening of files on firms case management system (Proclaim) and their day to day maintenance, in accordance with the departments Risk Management procedures. Complying with the firms procedures and standards for correspondence and documents, (including typing, saving and printing), and making the best use of facilities, including Proclaim and Word for maximum efficiency. Ensuring compliance with Money Laundering regulations. Preparing invoices and completing accounts documentation, as and when directed by the Legal Adviser. Preparing completion statements and assisting with billing. Key skills and experience; Preferably Legal Administration experience Excellent client service skills, with a calm and supportive nature, which is sympathetic to client needs Ability to work to tight timescales and under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both face to face and over the phone Experience in audio and copy typing Experience and competence in obtaining accurate messages, from clients over the phone For an informal discussion about this role, please call Georgina or Emily at WorkwithYorkshire.
