Compliance Team Member Galashiels Starting salary from £27,880 - £34,850 per annum Help us create a better future, quicker Responsible for delivering the safe provision of one or more of the following specific activities with strict adherence to the appropriate regulatory and license obligations for the electricity distribution network; Inspection, Calibration and PAT Testing of Instruments Inspections and repair of Test Prods, Earthing Devices and Ancillary Equipment Inspections and repair of Cable Spikers Inspections and repair of Ladders Inspections and repair of HV Earths Inspection of live line equipment Assist External Insurance Inspectors with 6 monthly inspections for all SPEN equipment Maintain electronic records Assist in Depot Inspections across Energy Networks North What you’ll be doing Deliver business plan outputs in line with financial, regulatory and business plan objectives whilst optimising return through incentive mechanisms. Ensure efficient and effective delivery of performance targets as appropriate To support continual performance improvement through analysis of outputs and feedback from internal and external sources. Demonstrate and promote exemplary safety behaviours and ensure that all safety legislation is implemented and delivered through all activities Capture feedback and issues from Operational Safety and Compliance Audits, Quality Audits etc and address any non-conformances. Deliver excellent customer service in all aspects of your operation. Actively promote and strive to achieve customer service standards within area of responsibility. Take responsibility and accountability for tasks and activities and contribute to the achievement of team goals by providing support, advice, encouragement, clear direction and coaching when appropriate. What you’ll bring Technical and operational experience in a relevant engineering role. Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation. Awareness of network development policies and procedures. Working knowledge of network and business data and network management systems. Contract & Service Level Agreement ( SLA ) management and general commercial & regulatory awareness. Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges. Ability to communicate with customers and colleagues. Use of electrical test equipment.
