Production Shift Leader Elland 40 Hours - Rotating Shift Salary DOE Production Shift Leader The Role You will be working with the Shift Manager across all production areas to manage processes and systems in order to ensure finished products are cooked, filled, chilled, packed and booked out appropriately so that plan is achieved to standard with 90% of time being spent on the production floor. In addition to this, you will be working in conjunction with the Hygiene, Technical and HR departments to ensure all line teams are trained to standard and that skills are balanced across all areas - in turn increasing productivity, safety and quality. Production Shift Leader Main Responsibilities · Ensure: - A safe working environment is maintained at all times through, managing risk assessments for the area, Fire safety walks and effective accident investigations. - Food safety (including CCP’s and paperwork), quality and hygiene standards are maintained at all times using Standard Works techniques (process confirmation). - Process confirmation is carried out through the shift, to record the findings to highlight the top three problems, followed by action plan to apply counter measures. - The shift achieves its conformance to plan, where it does not, apply actions and countermeasures. · Work in conjunction with our Process Team and wider business to set the productivity, safety, quality and hygiene standards for the shift and ensure these are maintained at all times (audit ready). · Improve the shifts productivity, safety, quality and hygiene standards using Lean, Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving techniques. · Recruit, train and continually develop team members using Coaching, Training Within Industry and formal feedback techniques. · Manage the day-to-day procedures aspects such as appraisals, TMS records, Return to Work, holiday and disciplinary are performed in line with our stated procedures and to time. · A safe working environment to be maintained at all times and all SolnSafe actions closed out with actions to prevent repeat occurrences.
