Responsibilities
The Solution Engineer works very close together with our Sales Engineers and plays an important role to anticipate customer test challenges and find the best solution for their measurement applications. Typical customer requirements are solutions for a wide range of signal analysis and electronic component test applications always in front of future state of the art technologies in different market segment like wireless, A/D and Automotive. The position is in the Keysight Technologies Winnersh office in UK. The position requires international cooperation with colleagues world-wide and our factories. The solution engineer is the technical interface between the customers and the Keysight product development. A comprehensive technical training program, complemented by the development of professional skills required in a sales and services environment, will enable an effective start in your new position. Customer visits require frequent travel (> 50% of work time).
Qualifications
The position requires a University Degree in electrical/communications engineering, physics or equivalent course of study and some experience in RF&Microwave test applications. The following job-related skills are required:
1. Comprehensive knowledge of RF&MW test fundamentals in theory and practical measurement applications
2. Practical experience using Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators, Vector Signal Analyzers, high end Oscilloscopes, Arbitrary Waveform generators
3. Understanding the fundamentals of generation, demodulation and analysis of digital communication signals
4. Knowledge of key technologies used in different market segments like 5G NR and LTE including O-RAN implementation
5. Knowledge of wireless Physical layers and basic knowledge of protocols
The complexity of the business environment in a fast-growing market demands strong international teamwork with other Keysight organizations and the flexibility to adopt new technologies quickly. A strong pro-active customer focus and professional presentation experience is required. The delivery of customer training and seminars requires excellent teaching skills. It is important that you like to communicate and work together with other people in a team. The required language skill is fluent business English.
