Job Description
Corin is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to strategically manage the supply and inventory for our medical hip and knee implants, which are distributed globally from our head office in Cirencester. Within this role, you will manage a team of 6 people, which includes buyers, planners, and procurement. This is a highly visible role that ensures we have all the right supply chain components to be able to manufacture, clean, pack, and distribute our medical devices. This is a hybrid role, requiring site presence a minimum of 3 days a week.
The ideal Supply Chain Manager will have / be:
1. A qualification in supply chain or logistics, which would be advantageous (e.g., CIPS or degree).
2. Experience of managing a small team.
3. Worked within a similar matrix organization.
4. Experience in using planning systems (including MRP) and understanding how to optimize systems.
5. Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to implement successful problem-solving procedures.
7. Commercial sensitivity, business acumen, initiative, and judgment skills.
8. Ability to manage changing daily priorities and demands.
9. Ability to focus on the short, medium, and long-term supply chain objectives.
10. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
11. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
The responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager:
1. Execute upon supply strategies, working closely with SIOP and customer services.
2. Communicate and manage the demands on manufacturing and key suppliers to deliver good supply schedules to market.
3. Support and improve the product flow with operational planning processes.
4. Perform data analysis to plan and prioritize supply, ensuring maximum performance and minimum delay.
5. Monitor and report on KPI performance from internal and external suppliers, utilizing these to drive improved deliverables from suppliers with the Supplier Account Managers.
6. Proactively predict and report product availability issues short and midterm, developing recovery plans and clearly communicating the status to our business partners.
7. Review and approve all Purchase Orders and support with the monitoring of open purchase orders for products within their portfolio to ensure on-time deliveries.
8. Drive and improve supply KPI’s centrally to enhance delivery and service to our customers.
9. Coordinate inventory planning, reporting, and management within the GDC.
10. Work closely with SIOP on monitoring inventory stocking level efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
11. Support all NPI and obsolescence projects from a supply chain team perspective.
12. Analyze and manage MRP within the GDC.
13. Complete special supply chain projects and assignments as requested.
14. Manage the Supplier Account Managers as well as the Buyers and Planners to improve communication and supply.
