Reference: 86548ff3 We are currently recruiting for a female Support worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the York area on a casual basis. The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client to lead an individual and independent lifestyle in their own home and the community. Our client is very outgoing and has many hobbies and interests. They particularly enjoy singing, dancing, and attending local clubs as well as playing video games whilst at home. Hours: Casual Contract The shifts will vary between day shifts - usually 10am-4pm and overnight shifts 6pm-9am. including weekend shifts. The overnights are sleeping nights and the PAs have their own bedroom A car driver is preferred but not essential. In return Salvere Support offers: Competitive rate of pay £13.69 per hour. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current. Who we are looking for: You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with: Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism and is not fazed by occasional displays of verbal aggression. Experience of supporting with personal care tasks Ability to help the client with budgeting Excellent attention to detail with the ability to scribe clear and accurate notes. Ability to support with domestic duties and food preparation. Ability to create a rapport and provide companionship for the individual. Due to the nature of a personal caring role and working in an individual’s home, sometimes alongside family members, Personal Assistants may be required to deal with difficult situations and/or challenging behaviour on occasions, which should be approached in a calm and professional manner You should also have: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness Please use job reference SSL/HY/LH or your application form.
