After a period of standardising and consolidating their existing product range, the business are now in a strong position to develop new ones, and they need your expertise to deliver the roadmap. You will have been in a role where you’ve overseen the entire development lifecycle and have achieved deadlines, not letting perfection get in the way of delivery. We need someone who can strategise and create the plans, not just run with an existing plan.

This is a board-level opportunity, where you’ll have full accountability and control for engineering and a multi-disciplinary team of mechanical, electronic, and software engineers. You’ll be joining an SME of less than 100 people, with a proven record of growth, a great reputation in the market, and a large order book. They have a thirst to innovate and show the market they continue to be at the forefront, so you’ll have great foundations to really make it work. You will be proactive and take action to reduce possible risks to projects before they happen.
It's a balance of innovation and delivery. They operate in an exciting market, and you'll be given freedom to bring in new processes and procedures, using your knowledge of what good looks like.

The Candidate: Engineering Director
The ideal candidate will consider themselves to have strong leadership skills, and will also have:
* At least 5 years’ experience in successfully delivering NPD projects, which can be in any technical engineering sector.
* Expertise in planning, controlling, and delivering NPD projects.
* Leadership experience of a multidisciplinary engineering design team.
* A proven track record of successfully working in a similar role.
