We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to join our team in Halifax from September 2025. As a key member of our teaching staff, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students across Key Stage 3 and 4, fostering a love for English and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4
* Foster a love for literature, writing, and critical thinking through creative lesson planning
* Help students improve their language and literacy skills through engaging and differentiated instruction
* Promote active participation and encourage a positive attitude toward reading and writing
* Manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful and focused learning environment
* Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and ensure individual learning needs are met
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan, assess, and deliver the curriculum effectively
* Participate in extra-curricular activities and professional development opportunities
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A strong background in English Language and/or English Literature
* Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* A passion for literature and a desire to inspire students
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
