Nottinghamshire County Council has a great reputation for its digital services. We embrace the latest technologies and build strong teams and partnerships to deliver leading edge technology and digital services to our citizens, colleagues, and partners.
We have recently transformed our ICT delivery approach, adopting Agile practices, embedding DevOps and ITIL4 principles across our operation, with service improvement at the heart of what we do. We are now looking for an enthusiastic, technical-minded and analytical individual to fill an exciting and varied ITIL Specialist role.
You could be working as a developer or in another technical role. You could have recently graduated with a degree in a related field. Either way, you will be looking for your next challenge and be interested in a technical role centred around Service Development and the Power Platform with the remit to make a difference and drive improvement. You will have an analytical mind and could have knowledge of SQL (or other scripting languages) and an ability to think outside the box to solve complex problems. You could have knowledge and experience with SharePoint Document Libraries, SharePoint Lists, Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI and be able to utilise these tools to provide solutions.
You will be involved in providing data-driven insight by analysing and manipulating data sets to provide information to operations and business management. You will work with other teams to increase the quality and accuracy of data to improve the value of the reporting capabilities.
You will be empowered to be innovative and help provide solutions to processes, procedures and systems which could be taken to the next level. You will help us to leverage the value of our extensive partnership arrangements with a diverse range of leading technology and digital specialist providers to deliver streamlined, highly integrated, and secure services to our citizens, staff, partners and customers.
In return, we can offer you flexible working hours, homeworking options, fantastic training, great benefits and future development opportunities.
Please contact 0300 500 8080 and request to speak with Greg Delve if you believe the role could be suitable and would like to discuss further prior to application.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
