If you have an interest in improving the experience of patients, carers and staff and have experience in conducting investigations, you will find this role rewarding and satisfying. You will be responsible for conducting and overseeing investigations into complaints, claims and incidents within the Division. You will work closely with the Head of Governance and Risk and Governance Leads to provide leadership within the team and the Division to ensure that concerns are investigated to a high standard. You will participate in clinical audits and develop improvement plans based on the results. You will liaise with staff, patients, carers and relatives to keep them appraised of investigation outcomes and progress. You will identify learning and opportunities for improvement, and assist the Division to embed this in practice by supporting the clinical staff to produce SMART action plans. Main duties of the job You will receive and analyse, complex, sensitive and occasionally contentious information and will be able to produce high quality written reports, including Board reports. You will use your skill at processing information, including the use of Datix, to identify themes and trends over time. In addition you will use your judgement and critical thinking, to escalate concerns as appropriate.
