About Ealing Ealing is the powerhouse of West London’s economy, offering the economic activity and connections of an inner London borough, but the space and lifestyle offer of outer London. We are one of best-connected places in the UK with five Elizabeth Line stations, great western rail and the forthcoming HS2 station. Our borough is made up of seven towns, each with their own unique history, identity, communities and economic opportunities. Through our new Local Plan, investment strategies and partnerships, we are promoting equitable growth that is fairly distributed across these seven towns. We have one of the most ambitious development pipelines in London. We are committed to delivering 28,000 new homes over the next 15 years and 10,000 good jobs by 2026. We home UK’s largest and best-connected development zone, and what will become a new town for London – The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation. This regeneration will deliver good growth and connections of international significance in Ealing, including 10,000 new homes and 6,000 new jobs at Old Oak and north Acton. And because of all of this, Ealing is an attractive place for investment and one of the Capital’s most prosperous enablers for good growth. About the post and you This role is based in the newly created Regeneration, Economy & Skills department, and within the Economy & Sustainability Directorate which is under fresh and ambitious leadership. This role presents an excellent opportunity to expand your career by managing initiatives to grow the local economy, deliver jobs and drive ambitious change for Ealing’s seven unique towns. Your work will unlock jobs-led regeneration for the borough and may involve bringing forward strategic sites with partner organisations, high-value and complex master planning, catalysing meanwhile uses, intensifying employment uses and diversifying the borough’s commercial and industrial offer. You will contribute to the delivery of Ealing’s new Jobs and Skills Strategy, Economy after 6pm Strategy and Local Plan to help unlock new good jobs and leverage more inward investment into the borough.
