We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible individuals to work within the Facilities team at Pullman Place Gloucester. The role will be working in cleaning at Pullman Place, a large building of offices and clinic rooms for the NHS, with the opportunity to work bank hours at our hospital Wotton Lawn.
If you enjoy working in an active and busy role with a team around you, and have great communication skills, with previous experience in catering, cleaning, or both, then we would welcome your application.
This post requires the post holder to undertake all statutory and mandatory training, and post holders must be able to perform physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Ensure the cleanliness of the environment in accordance with the National Specification of Cleanliness 2007 or equivalent and to the agreed work schedules.
2. Clean all areas of the site using a range of methods such as high dusting, damp dusting, vacuuming, and mopping, in line with the NHS Cleaning Manual.
3. Maintain and replenish stocks of consumable items used within the department, i.e., paper hand towels, soap, in a safe and responsible manner.
4. Adhere to all aspects of Infection Control in all areas of work, including the use of colour-coded equipment to prevent the spread of infection.
5. Follow local procedures for reporting areas cleaned and highlighting issues preventing duties from being carried out.
6. Undertake enhanced cleaning duties under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor.
7. Report maintenance faults, building fabric issues, pests, and any other concerns to the Facilities Supervisor.
8. Collect, segregate, and store waste from locations according to local procedures and the Trust's Waste policy.
9. Ensure patient confidentiality, privacy, and dignity are maintained throughout your work.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning & Support Services or equivalent qualification or experience
* NVQ Level 2 in Food Hygiene
* GCSEs or equivalent
* NVQ Level 1 in Hospitality & Catering or equivalent

* Previous experience of working in the NHS
