What will the responsibilities be of the Health, Safety and environmental officer be? Maintain external HSE accreditations Investigate accidents and injuries and recommend corrections to problem areas Communicate hazard control information Undertake safety audits and correction of discrepancies Conduct HSE training Chair/Support for HSE for site committee Develop and implement 6S initiatives Conduct gap analysis/audits of systems Ensure Group HSE minimum standards are implemented on site Member of site emergency response team Creation, review and management of site risk assessments EHS representative for site customer and compliance audit What skills, experience and qualifications will the Health, safety and environmental officer need? HSE experience in a manufacturing environment Excellent knowledge with ability to interpret legislation, regulation and law Ability to detect opportunities for safety/environmental improvements in production areas Drive the safety aspect of the preventive and predictive maintenance programs of company NEBOSH certified 3 years HSE experience in a similar role Electronics experience is desirable Experience of delivering safety within a LEAN 6S culture - desirable What you will get in return: 4 day working week Life assurance Cycle to work scheme Medical cover Discounted gym membership Contributory pension scheme Fresh fruit and hot drinks Free parking
