- THE ROLE -
To lead and develop education in the new School of Medicine, with a focus on Psychiatry. The appointee might undertake clinical or translational research in line with the Faculty’s research strategy, which would align with clinical research undertaken in the Western Health and Social Care Trust; but the chief focus of the post is the pursuit of educational excellence, thus research interests might include pedagogic research.

This post requires an academic who is committed to education, scholarship, and innovation. Our early Clinical Academic appointments have an educational focus to ensure educational delivery of the highest quality, to inspire colleagues and medical students in their clinical career planning. We welcome candidates with a research profile, which can be clinical or pedagogic; to align with other research undertaken within the School.
* Hold a Primary Medical Degree.
* Hold a Higher degree (PhD, MD or equivalent).
* Have full Registration with the GMC, or be eligible for full registration (in case of international applicants).
* Inclusion on the relevant Specialist Register or be eligible for inclusion within six months of the interview date.
* Hold a post-registration qualification (Membership of relevant Royal College or equivalent by examination).
