Orbis Education and Care are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior support worker to join our compassionate and energetic team at our Rosendale home. We provide specialist care and education services for children and adults with complex needs associated with autism. We focus on a person-centred approach, emphasizing personal strengths, interests, and aspirations to empower individuals to lead active, socially valued, and fulfilling lives.
As a Senior Support Worker at Rosendale, you will play a crucial role in supporting residents' daily activities, educational needs, and personal development. You will collaborate with a team including teachers, therapists, and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Located in Lydstep, with views of the sea and Pembrokeshire hills, Rosendale offers a calm, supportive, and homely environment for up to six adults from age 18. Residents have access to facilities at Orbis' Bangeston Hall, including gardens, allotments, a polytunnel, art and music rooms, and more. Care is tailored to individual needs, supporting adults to participate actively in their community through engaging activities, leisure, and learning programs.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise a team of support workers, fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
* Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents with autism and complex needs.
* Assist in creating and implementing personalized care plans.
* Encourage independence and life skills development.
* Promote a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring residents' emotional and physical well-being.
* Liaise with families, guardians, and external professionals for effective communication and continuity of care.
* Support management with administrative tasks and staff training.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a support worker role within care or education is essential.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
* A passion for working with individuals with complex needs.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing needs.
* A driving license is essential; applicants without one cannot be considered.
Note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
