Primary HLTA
Location: 2-Form Entry Primary School near South Elmsall
Start Date: ASAP (up to Spring Bank, with potential to extend)
PK Education are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Primary HLTA to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school near South Elmsall. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting Key Stage 2 pupils, with a focus on Year 6 SATs preparation and PPA cover.
Overview:
As a Primary HLTA, you will be responsible for supporting the Year 6 pupils, particularly focusing on SATs preparation in the lead-up to the exams. You'll work closely with the class teacher to provide targeted interventions and ensure that the students are well-prepared and confident for their assessments. Additionally, you will assist with PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover across the school.
Responsibilities:
Providing targeted support to Year 6 pupils in preparation for their SATs exams
Delivering intervention sessions to help boost pupil progress in core subjects
Supporting with general classroom activities and behaviour management
Assisting with PPA cover across the school as required
Working closely with the class teacher to plan and implement effective lessons
Maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment
Reporting pupil progress and helping identify areas for development
Requirements:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role
Experience working with children, particularly in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience is highly desirable)
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SATs requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well within a team and independently
A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Additional Information:
Location: 2-form entry primary school near South Elmsall
Start Date: ASAP, with the role running until at least Spring Bank, potentially longer
Rate of Pay: From £115 per day (Competitive, dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
