Base pay range

A trusted employer with a first-class reputation, our client is recruiting for a HR Business Partner role. This is a newly created role within the Group structure, based from one of three manufacturing sites in the UK - Swansea/Herford/Birmingham. Reporting to the HR Manager who is based in Swansea, the role is responsible for providing a proactive HR Business Partner service, which will predominantly focus on Employee Relations, including Disciplinary, Grievance, and Union matters across the three sites. The role will also support in the following areas:

* Advise on other employment matters on HR related topics.
* Counsel employees on work-related problems.
* Support as required with the annual Performance Management process and act as a backup for the HRM as needed.
* Organise, prioritise, and manage a diverse workload under pressure.

As a member of the Group, the philosophy is to contribute to team efforts; find new ways to help the team; learn new skills needed by the team; pitch in to help other team members as required; volunteer to help without being asked; keep track of approaching deadlines and speeding up processes; keep aware of team members’ needs, and offer support and assistance when required.


Knowledge/Qualifications

* Demonstrated experience in an Employee Relations HR role, ideally in a fast-paced, results-driven, manufacturing environment.
* Strong practical working knowledge of employment law.
* Demonstrated experience in working in a heavily unionized environment.
* PC literate, particularly in Microsoft Office packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS (ideally SAP).
* Excellent interpersonal skills; a strong communicator, friendly and amiable in approach.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
* Well organized and systematic.
* Accurate and efficient.
* Strong ethics and sense of urgency.
* Right to Left Thinking – Begin with the end in mind – what do you want the end result to be?
* Provide the team with resources to improve.
* Solid business acumen.
* Ability to develop into an HR Leadership role in the future.
