Children's Support Workers Full time and Part Time flexible hours/shifts available to work around work and personal commitments Pay ranges from £12.50 - £15 an hour with holiday pay on top (we do not pay via payroll companies so no hidden fees) BS Social Care are recruiting for several Children's Support Workers and Senior Children's Support Workers to work in a variety of placements with vulnerable children and young people in the local area. You will be required to support children and YP in a range of environments such as residential children's homes, respite services and emergency placements on an ad hoc short-term and long-term basis. You will have the chance to work in new and exciting envirnoments with children and gain valuable skills and experience that can be used to progress in your career The role will involve - Working as part of an established staff team to delivery best quality care and support. Encouraging engagement with education and extra-curricular activities. Promoting positive and healthy relationships. Engaging the young people in social activities. Maintaining and completing paperwork in a timely manner. Acting as a positive role model. To be considered you must - At least 6 months paid experience working in a children's residential setting. Level 3 children and young people qualification (desirable). Willing to undergo additional training if required to meet the needs of the service. Experience with de-escalation and with behaviours that can challenge. Be flexible in your working approach and hours. Act as a positive role model for the young people. Maintain a high standard of report writing and other paperwork required. Be confident in yourself to challenge behaviour when required. Support and encourage education and the further development of the young people to ensure they have the skills to live independently. Attend meetings and training when required. Have a full UK driving license and access to your own transport.
