The Marketing Coordinator role is an exciting new role to the business, reporting to the Assistant Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will support both the Senior Marketing Manager and Assistant Marketing Manager in the development and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns, and events for Mackle Petfoods and their brands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the creation and scheduling of monthly social media content plans for Brandy, Cat Club, Naturo, Mackle Petfoods, and any other Mackle Petfoods brands.
2. Monitor social media accounts, create content, and respond to messages.
3. Assist with customer communication by keeping information relevant, informative, and engaging (i.e., FAQs, blogs, campaigns) on all company websites.
4. Assist Trade Marketing in supporting the sales team through the design of customer-specific web banners, keeping within brand guidelines and customer specifications.
5. Assist in the management of marketing campaigns/plans locally & nationally for the company’s product brands, namely – Naturo, Brandy, and Cat Club.
6. Assist with the coordination of marketing and PR campaigns/plans.
7. Assist in the organization and implementation of the annual consumer show calendar.
8. Attendance at consumer shows to represent the company and product brands.
9. Responsible for the organization, storage, stocktaking, and reordering of all marketing materials.
10. Assist in the sourcing of branded merchandise to supplement campaigns and new product launches.
11. Assist with approval of artwork when required.
12. Assist with influencer/brand ambassador/gifting activity.
13. Assist in the management of charity donations.
14. Ensure synergy of all marketing activities across traditional & digital channels.
15. Monitor, analyze, and report on market and competitor trends to support the business in growing existing business and helping to build a platform for new and future business opportunities.
16. Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
17. Other duties, within reason, as and when required.
Essential Criteria
1. Degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
2. One year’s experience working in a marketing role.
3. Highly organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
4. Well-developed creative skills.
5. Evidence of effective planning, organization, and time management abilities.
6. Sense of brand and editorial voice.
7. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Able to work flexibly as required to meet business needs.
10. Available to travel on limited occasions for meetings or support for exhibitions/events.
11. Clean Driving License.
Desirable Criteria
1. FMCG knowledge, ideally product-based.
2. Graphic design experience - Canva desirable.
3. Photography/videography experience.
4. Effective training/presentation skills.
5. Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software applications.
6. The ability to harmonize creative content across multiple channels and marketing vehicles.
