Role Overview
Due to the continued success and growth of our Fit-Out Division across a range of sectors we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will be working with multinational clients, responsible for ensuring projects are priced and submitted to clients meeting key criteria requested. This is an opportunity for an Estimator wanting to further develop their career with a forward-thinking company that prides itself in investing in people.
What you'll do
The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
1. Carry out pre Tender site visits through out the UK and Ireland
2. Manage the tender process and Tender deliverables
3. Where applicable prepare accurate Bills of Quantities from drawings, specifications and schedule of finishes
4. Issue enquiries for work packages, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
5. Completion of priced Bills of Quantities
6. Assessing the levels of risk on a project.
What you’ll bring
As an Estimator your main skills and experience will include:
Essential Criteria
7. Have significant relevant Estimating experience within a Fit Out/ Construction company, over 3 years experience
8. Possess either a Third Level Qualification in construction related subject or demonstrate significant and high level of experience obtained working in a comparable role
9. Demonstrate knowledge of estimating on previous projects.
10. Have an extensive knowledge of construction practices that can be used on to analyse costs.
11. Keeping up to date with pricing matrices and inflationary impacts
12. Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Information Technology in general
13. Travel though out the UK and Ireland when required
