We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join our team. Maintenance Engineer - The Role: This role involves responding to breakdowns and maintain site wide electrical & mechanical systems including facilities at Vantrunk in order to minimise engineering downtime. As our Maintenance Engineer you will provide continuous improvement support for all on site functions and business needs. Maintenance Engineer - Key responsibilities: Conduct all engineering activities safely and professionally, ensuring compliance with current legislation and procedures at all times. Conduct planned maintenance, breakdown and statutory checks as required. Working as part of engineering team on site, strive to keep engineering downtime to a minimum, prioritising tasks to meet business needs. Be prepared to work additional hours to cover emergency situations. Improve machine availability, Learn and understand machine processes and operation Control contractors; induction and permits, ensuring safe and compliant work on site. Participate in a range of business-related projects and processes both engineering and non-engineering. Maintain and inspect all facilities on site essential services. Liaise with suppliers on technical requirements for parts and service, acquiring prices and generating purchase requests for authorisation and ordering. Develop operating standards and practices to ensure efficient running of machines and autonomous maintenance.
